Know Your Cannabinoids
Let’s look at the differences and similarities between specific cannabinoids. As you begin to learn about cannabinoids, you can better know which blends may work best for you!

Delta-8 THC is a psychoactive compound that’s like delta-9 THC. Delta-9 THC is a compound in the cannabis(marijuana) plant that produces a “high.” Delta-8 is similar to Delta-9 THC but has a somewhat different molecular structure that makes it not as potent.
Not unlike Delta-9 THC, Delta-8 produces feelings of euphoria, relaxation, and potential pain relief, but they’re a lot milder.
For people who have used the more traditional Delta-9 THC (marijuana) and have experienced a strong, unpleasant “high”, the lower potency of Delta-8 could be a very real benefit.
Cannabigerol (CBG) is one of more than 120 identified cannabinoid compounds found in the cannabis plant. During plant growth, most of the cannabigerol is converted into other cannabinoids, primarily tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or cannabidiol (CBD).
While you may not have heard about CBG, humans have reaped its benefits for millennia, in both cannabis and hemp plants. It’s often called the “mother of all cannabinoids” because without it, cannabis would have no high.
CBG can bind to the same receptors as THC and may address issues that pertain to the nervous system, including migraines, muscle soreness and inducing appetite.
Cannabinol (CBN) is a mildly psychoactive cannabinoid mostly found in cannabis that is aged and stored, and is derived from the plant’s main psychoactive chemical, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). CBN isn’t known to cause the strong intoxicating psychoactive effects associated with THC.
CBN may well have anti-inflammatory activity that could aid in healing chronic wounds where healing has been blocked by persistent inflammation.
Research conducted by InMed Pharmaceuticals shows CBN may be useful in treating eye conditions like glaucoma, which results in vision loss and blindness as it harms the optic nerve in the back of the eye.
CBN can also exhibit neuroprotective abilities, meaning it can protect nervous system cells and structures, by significantly reducing or preventing natural cell death.
CBN may provide relief of pain for chronic muscle pain disorders, like temporomandibular disorders (pain in the jaw muscles, joints, and nerves) and fibromyalgia (a condition that causes pain all over the body).
Cannabicitran is one of the 120+ known cannabinoids found naturally in the cannabis plant. By itself it is not at all psychoactive. In its isolate form, it maintains fluid liquidity much like pancake syrup.
There are reports of a higher sense of well-being and mood when used in conjunction with a cannabinoid like Delta-8. There is an added benefit when being used in distillate-based cartridges as it does not crystallize and ensures your cartridges remain clog free so you’re able to get the best flavor (without burning your coil) until the cartridge is completely empty.
